Stand on our feet to bring much needed change: Munish to people | 'Can't walk on crutches forever' | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 20: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Wednesday asked people to become masters of their own destinies by rejecting the people who have exploited them during all these years. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas, Munish said, "Our leader has to be one amongst us. I have taken a plunge into politics with a pledge to empower a common man of Jammu. I am an ordinary person like you. I want to stand firm for the cause and betterment of my people, who have been at the receiving end for the past so many decades," Munish said. He urged people to strengthen his hands so that the "hegemony" of the traditional politicians could be challenged. "We have to make a new beginning to change the system so that we could be heard and taken seriously. We cannot walk on crutches forever. We have to stand on our own feet to bring the much needed change," Munish added. He said that as a journalist he has tried his best to become the voice of the people and has always sided with the truth. "We have to put our act together and become a force to reckon with. I have taken an initiative but to be successful need your support," Munish said. |
