JAMMU, June 23: In order to check the trafficking of illicit liquor, its illegal sale and purchase, Police recovered 58 quarters of illicit liquor. During checking, one suspected person on seeing the naka party started fleeing from the spot to avoid checking,but the alert cop's apprehended him after a brief chase.On search recovered 58 quarters of illicit liquor from the bag which he was carrying. On questioning the suspected person revealed his identity as Bablu Kumar son of Piyar Chand, resident of Ghari Teh Rajghar, distt.Ramban in this regard case FIR no.140/19 U/S 48(a) of excise act stand registered against the accused person at Police Ramban. Investigation taken up to ascertain the source and other persons involved in this menace. |
