NC to measure muscles with centre on Article 370 and 35-A to regain power

The National Conference has challenged the centre has been planning to trifurcation of the state. And in a bid to capture votes for the ensuing Assembly elections the NC is planning to abrogate Article370 and Article 35-A."Those nurturing wild dreams of trifurcating the state or tinkering with its special status are destined to fail, as the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh are determined to frustrate all their attempts with their full might," Senior NC leaders declared Addressing functionaries of senior leaders and party delegates in Poonch, the former minister also cautioned against the machinations being engineered to weaken the party, which he claimed is a bold voice of the people of the state and a binding force between the regions and the communities living in harmony for centuries. To achieve their malicious agenda, anti-people and anti-poor elements are being encouraged to cause divisions and wedge between the people," he claimed without identifying the conspirators but exhorted the party cadre to remain vigilant against their "nefarious designs".
The general secretary called for further strengthening the party at the grass roots level to meet the challenges facing the state. This way the National Conference has decided to rake up the issues pertaining to special status an d the state subject laws which were being revoked despite the fact that the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, has declared that these doubts were without any roots. It seem s that the National Conference has plans to secure absolute majority in the Assembly on the plan of securing to retain the special status and Article 35-A.And despite separatists plan to kick up a row against the special status and Article 35-A the National Conference has decided to measure muscles with the separatists on retaining Article 370 and Article 35-A.
This is the only way because the NC slogan of securing greater autonomy has lost interest among the people. People too want to see that the special status and that of separate citizenship are retained and without being fiddled with. Despite the assurance from the Union Home Ministry that these two vital issues may not be tampered with but the NC has decided to fight against possible revocation of Article 370 an d Article 35-A.And this is the only issue dear to the voters and by shouting in favour of retention of Article 370 and Article 35-A the NC wants to win the next Assembly election which is crucial for demonstration of its political vigour. Since all the three Lok Sabha seats in the valley have been won by the NC with losing that of Ladakh and two seats of Jammu the NC may kick up a row to capture the interests of voters.
