Early Times Report KATHUA, July 8: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Raghav Langer today reviewed the status of the languishing projects approved by Jammu & Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) Limited here at a meeting of line departments. The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr Shubra Sharma, SE M&RE Circle, Sandeep Seth, Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh, CEO, XENs of Irrigation, PDD, PHE, R&B, Project Wing PDD, Principal Govt. Polytechnic and executive officers of all concerned departments. The DC took the scheme-wise review of projects undertaken by different departments and funded under the languishing project scheme in the district. The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 336.60 crore has been approved in aggregate for 96 languishing projects in Power Sector, PHE, R&B, Health, School Education, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sheep Husbandry, Rural Development, Youth Services & Sports, Industries and Higher & Technical Education in the district. The balance amount required for completing these projects is Rs. 190 crore. It was also informed in the meeting that 9 new projects, 8 in R&B and 1 in PHE sector has also been appended in the list of languishing projects which increased the total number of projects to 105. The DC stressed upon the officials to gear up men and machinery and work with added zeal so that all languishing projects are completed within the stipulated time frame. |
