Early Times Report JAMMU, July 8: A major fire broke out on Monday in the vegetable market here in Janipura area, creating panic and chaos in the area. However, no injury or casualty was reported, Police said. As per eyewitnesses, the fire incident took place in early the morning of Monday in these shops and locals were trying to extinguish the flames even as people in the neighbourhood vacated their shops. Within a few minutes of the fire incident, a cylinder blasted following which fire broke out in the vegetable market of Janipur. As per police, the fire spread to other kiosks and two fire tenders were immediately pressed into service from Roopnagar area. An official of Fire Department said that a call was received about the fire after which fire tenders were rushed to the spot. A fire broke out at the Vegetable shops. However, no one was injured. |
