Shoolini Univ offers special incentives for JK students | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 12: Himachal Pradesh-based Shoolini University, which has been ranked among the top 15 per cent of about 900 universities by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for the last three consecutive years, has offered special incentives for Jammu and Kashmir students. Shoolini University Vice Chancellor Prof P K Khosla said that an increasing number of students from Jammu and Kashmir were seeking admission in the University due to its academic excellence, safe environment and its exquisite location among pine forests. The University offers 10 per cent scholarship for students from Kashmir. Some other kinds of scholarships, like merit based and those based on economic criteria, are also available, he added. Prof P K Khosla said while the official Indian rankings give merely 30 per cent marks to research, the global standards reserve 60 per cent marks to research undertaken by educational institutions. "That's why we are confident that he would achieve our aim of finding a place among the top 200 global institutions by 2022", he said. |
