Transfers, postings of principals expose nepotism, corruption in Edu Deptt | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 12: Notwithstanding tall claims of Governor's administration to remove corruption, recent postings and adjustments of incharge principals in school education department has exposed rampant corruption. 259 incharge principals were transferred and adjusted at new places but most of the influential persons have managed their postings within city limits. Interestingly some principals who were earlier serving within city have again managed their postings in the nearby areas by using their influence and other 'resources.' Credible sources said that there was 'open auction' the department when lists of principals' transfers were being prepared. "Huge money was charged in lieu of giving important postings to influential persons at their choice of places", sources said and added that many influential persons who were earlier posted within city limit have managed their new posting in another city school. Credible sources said that posts of principals have been vacant in far-flung areas but those principals who have been claiming to be intelligent and capable have managed posting within city limit. |
