Early Times Report
Srinagar, July 12: The State High Court has directed the Registrar Judicial of both wings of the High Court to maintain records of all cases which are being monitored by the Supreme Court.
The court's Registrar General issued the order after Chief Justice Gita Mittal expressed her displeasure about the manner in which the Court files are being maintained, the manner in which proper noting of the Orders passed by the Supreme court of India are not being marked and brought to the notice of concerned benches.
The court expressed need to draw a protocol regarding the manner in which the time bound matters that are being monitored by the Supreme Court of India or any other Forum or Authority are to be dealt by the registry and the court staff.
The Chief Justice issued directions to the Registrar Judicial of both wings of the High Court to maintain records of all cases which are being monitored by the Supreme Court or where directions have been given by the top court which are required to be implemented or where time bound reports have to be submitted to the Supreme Court or any other Forum or Authority.
"The court files in these cases shall be marked appropriately in distinct marking by the concerned judicial branch, so that such cases are immediately identifiable," the court said. "It shall be the responsibility of the Bench Secretary to ensure that the orders and directions of the Supreme Court or any other Forum or Authority which are required to be complied with in any case are brought to the notice of the Bench hearing the matter," reads the court order.
