Jammu, July 17: BJP spokesperson Brig Anil Gupta today claimed that State Spokesperson, Dr. Tahir Choudhary was physically assaulted. Brig. Anil Gupta, demanded that a fast tracked inquiry be conducted into the matter and the matter be brought to full light, so as to reveal the real purpose and intent of the attackers, while arresting the culprits and taking strict action against anti-social elements to prevent such future incidents.
Brig. Gupta, told that on the night of last Monday i.e. 15-07-2019 at about 9.30 p.m. two unidentified youth on motor cycle intercept Dr. Tahir's car near railway bridge, opposite Narwal Mandi and thrashed upon front mirror of his car without any argument.
In the meantime, the attackers also pulled him out from the car and started pounding upon him badly without any reason. Such type of incident has also occurred earlier with the BJP leaders about four years back in his office.
Brig. Gupta, said that a written complaint has been filed at that time. He said that Dr. Tahir has given his complaint to SSP, Jammu which has been forwarded to Police Station Trikuta Nagar. |
