| Police arrest narcotic smuggler, recover 5.5 kg poppy straw | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 20: In continuation to the drive against drugs in Katra town, police have managed to nab a narcotic smuggler along with a aconsignment of drugs.
Sources said that during routine checking and frisking at Nomain Check Post, one truck bearing Registration no JK02AN 6557 coming from Domail towards Katra was stopped and while checking 5.5 kg of poppy straw was recovered from the possession of driver namely Gurbachan Singh, son of Baldev Singh of Bhabber Brahmana, Dera Baba tehsil and district Reasi.
A case under FIR No 173/2019 us 8/15 NDPS stands registered at P/S Katra. The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Katra Vivek Shekhar, ASP Katra Naresh Singh and SSP Reasi Nisha Nathyal.
