TDF urges Guv to speed up pending corruption cases | | | Early Times Report
Doda, July 23: The members of Thathri Development Front District Doda welcomed the Governor's statement that some former ministers and bureaucrats will be in jail or on bail soon. The Governor should also disclose the names of such politicians & bureaucrats who destroyed the J&K state. They urged upon the Governor to speed up the pending corruption cases against several bureaucrats & politicians & also make amendments in the concerned laws to give teeth to the law enforcing agencies. During last 7 decades we have heard of punishing only clerks, Patwaries etc in J&K but not a single bureaucrat or politician, when several such files against Ministers/ MLAs & bureaucrats are gathering dust in the civil Secretariat for further n/action. They have decried recruitment in J&K Bank where as in 562 employees were picked up amongst BJP & PDP politicians rejecting the list of poor, honest and intelligent aspirants of all the three regions. This fact was revealed by none else than the Governor himself but no action till date, the release said and added that it is a matter of great concern as to why scalping of J&K Bank Chairman-Parvez Ahmad Nengroo, is not going down the throat of Former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah & Mehbooba Mufti? Why don't they appreciate action against corruption, nepotism & favoritism? It is only because of the corrupt practices of NC. PDP, Congress as also BJP, that J&K state claimed No:- 1 position in corruption as per a survey conducted by an independent NGO- the Transparency International. It has become den of corruption for politicians of successive state governments including BJP during their recent coalition with PDP; the release said & wondered as to why no RTI Act is not applicable here? |
