Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 8: Students of Jodhamal Public School participated for the third time in the Welham Boys' Model United Nations Conference, popularly known as WELMUN, that hosted its Fifth edition in the month of August, 2019. Jodhamal Public School delegation escorted by Bhawna Madaan and Sachin Dogra was the only delegation from Jammu that participated and competed with famous schools from different parts of the country. The WELMUN convened eight distinct and challenging committees, like - UNSC, UNGA 1 - DISEC, ECOSOC, UNW, UNPBC, IP and the Council of Hindustan - a fictional crisis committee in which our delegates Prabin Singh and Mohd Raza received honourable mention and Arsh Mir received Verbal Mention in their respective committees. The other delegates like Saba Jamwal, Gungun Anand, Karmanya Wahi , Sai Sharan and Kartik Singh did equally well and gave a tough competition to the delegates from prestigious schools and proved their excellence in public speaking skills, simulations and also collaborated with other school delegates to find ways to foster fraternity in our fractured VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world with a hope that the delegates feel accomplished in their efforts to think and propose solutions to resolving complex global issues of today's day and age. |
