Citizen's Forum demands equal funds for Jammu, Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 8: Citizen's Forum while welcoming the decision of abrogating article 370 of the constitution has demanded from Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has scripted a new history for the country, to make provision for separate equal funds for Jammu region and Kashmir region, after completing the reorganization of the assembly constituencies under delimitation. Citizen's Forum president R K Chadha said that we are shocked to know the enormous funds received to the tune of Rs 2,77,000 crores by the J&K Government in past few years from the centre adding that where this money has been spent by the elected governments is matter of guess?. Chadha further said we are not against any leader or political party but no leader from Jammu and Kashmir can explain this saga of loot as Jammu region development is clearly visible to the naked eye. He said apart from these funds, the BCCI money of Rs 112 crores for construction of an international cricket stadium in Jammu, has been evaporated in thin air by our leaders. A very interesting account given by JKCA Kashmir, that 6 crores was spent on growing grass on GGM Science College Cricket Ground Jammu, is a big interesting achievement by JKCA members of Kashmir and Jammu both, who are holding the posts for the last thousand years.
