The Ureteric stone causing obstruction in kidney was also treated. Speaking about the success of this case, Dr Sujeet Kumar Bhat, Surgical Oncologist, SMVDNSH, said, "Hepatitis B causes slow destruction of Liver cells. If not treated in time, chronic infection can lead to development of Liver Cancer. Pertinently, Surgery in such patients is challenging as it is prone to intraoperative and postoperative complications. Post through diagnosis, this case seemed to be high risk, as it was observed to have liver tumor and kidney dysfunction due to Ureteric stone." |
