Rides bicycle to Khaswaka, shows the way to fight drug abuse | Munish Gupta resumes mass contact programme | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 10: Resuming his mass contact programme while riding a bicycle to Khaswaka here early this morning, Early Times Editor Munish Gupta threw light on the evils of drug abuse asking the people to be united against the menace. A fitness freak, Munish left his Gandhi Nagar residence in the wee hours on the bicycle riding to Khwaska to get overwhelming response from the locals. Gupta told the inhabitants that drug abuse was killing the society like a termite and that it was collective responsibility of the society to get united against the menace. Invoking the mantra of "sound mind in sound body" he asked the youth in particular to rediscover the culture of early rising in Jammu and to start the day only after fitness exercises. Early rising has been tradition in Jammu and we need to uphold the same, for it keeps us away from many evils and equally helps us to be in good health Gupta said. He assured the locals of all possible support to get rid of their problems and also in highlighting the discrimination meted with them by successive regimes. |
