Police solve murder case within 5 hours, accused arrested | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 26: Police claimed to have solved a murder case within five of the incident and arrested accused along with a weapon of offence under section 302 RPC. Addressing media persons Superintendent of Police (SP) Vinay Sharma said that as per the information received at Police Station Bage-e-Bahu that one dead body of a person namely Vikas Goswami son of Satish Kumar Goswami resident of Qasim Nagar Jammu lying in Community Hall Qasim Nagar under mysterious circumstances. "Acting on the information, police started inquest proceeding under section 174 CrPC and the body was taken in police custody for postmortem," SP said, adding that during the course of inquiry many suspects was rounded and it revealed that one person namely Sonu Goswami was often found sleeping in Community Hall. He further said that Sonu narrated to Police that one person namely Nitish Kumar son of Ashok Kumar resident of Qasim Nagar Jammu was seen while having a drink with the deceased in Community hall and he after a scuffle the accused went to his home to take Iron rod and crushed the head of the deceased with Iron Rod. On this enquiry, a case FIR no 72/2019 under section 302 RPC registered at police Station and during investigation accused was kept himself hidden in some places and was ready to flee to other states through Train. The accused was arrested along with train ticket. On his disclosure weapon of offence Iron Rod was recovered and the case was solved by the team of Police Station Bage-e-Bahu lead by SHO, SI JP Singh under the supervision of SDPO East RS Rahi, SP South Vinay Sharma and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh. |
