Jammu, Aug 26: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) today called on Farooq Khan and apprised him about their problems being faced by the fraternity. According to press release, the delegation drew attention of Advisor the problems being faced by Head Teachers working under erstwhile SSA including financial loss and mental trauma due to the non drawal of salaries for the last few months. They demanded to create the posts of Masters grade in the upgraded Middle schools as equivalent to existing Govt. Middle Schools under Non-Plan/ Plan posts of J&K Govt. on the pattern of RMSA ,where the posts of Headmasters and Masters have been created in order to streamline and regularize the salaries of these Masters working in upgraded Middle Schools. The deputation demanded to resolve this issue once for all. Ganesh Khajuria also sought strict implementation of detachment orders being issued by higher authorities from time to time to detach the teaching faculty deployed in various offices I.e., Director School Jammu, CEOs, ZEOs etc. JKTF demanded to detach the teaching faculty from offices and assign all the works to concerned clerical cadres of different offices. Farooq Khan gave a patient hearing to the deputation and issued on the spot directions to Director School Education, Jammu to redress the salary issue of Head Teachers, once for all. He also assured to resolve all other issues of teaching fraternity being highlighted by JKTF deputation. The deputation comprised of JKTF members namely Yograj Slathia, Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, S. Ravinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Anchal Kour, Sham Badyal, Maneka Sharma, Rupinder Kour, Subash Chander and many others. |
