RAMBAN SEPTEMBER 04: District Magistrate, Nazim Zai Khan, today ordered enforcement of SRO-45 regarding ban on polythene carry bags of thickness less than 50 microns.
According to the order issued by DM in this regard, ban has been imposed in the district on manufacture, stocking, distribution, sale and use of polythene carry bags, plastic sheets, cover made of plastic packaging and multilayered packaging less than fifteen microns in thickness.
The order further reads that District Officers and Pollution Control Board, Sub Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authorities, Health Officers, Executive Officers of Municipal Bodies, Warden and Range Officers of Wild Life Department, BDOs and Panchyat Inspectors of RD department besides officers of Police Department including SP, SP Traffic, DSP, SDPOs and SHOs have been authorized to seize of above mentioned banned items. |
