| Katra Police recover huge quantity of liquor, one arrested | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 7: Katra Police have reportedly recovered huge quantity of liquor from a restaurant situated in holy-town on late Friday evening.
According to sources during a raid conducted by the police huge quantity of liquor has been recovered.
"69 bottles of different brands, 23 quarters of local whisky and 35 beers cartons have been recovered from the restaurant situated at Kunya Panthal", they said, adding that there were complaints from locals that the liquor is being sold in the restaurant.
"A police raided the restaurant and apprehended one person namely Ajay Kumar Sharma and the owner Pankaj, who is running this illegal business and was absconding", they said, adding that the accused person was arrested and a case FIR No 208/2019 U/S 48-F Excise Act was registered at Police Station Katra. |
