Ajit Doval to visit Kashmir | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Sep 7: The iconic National security Advisor, Ajit Doval who ensured that the scrapping of special status of Jammu and Kashmir remains a zero- casualty operations is likely to visit Kashmir in the last week of September, the early Times has learnt. Official sources told this newspaper, that the NSA was likely to visit a valley for a firsthand account of improvement in situation in Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 on Aug 5. Sources said after analyzing the situation, he would brief the PM Narendra Modi about the ground situation in Kashmir, so that future strategies are adapted to bring back development n the region . Sources said that PM is keen to see Kashmir get back to normal at an earliest and that Doval will play a jey role in realing the dream through "smart security measures". Aprt from the top brass of security, Doval is likely to meet civil society faces in Kashmir to take their feed back for harmonious return of peace and prosperity in the region. It is pertinent to mention that Doval was camping in Kashmir fortnight after the abrogation of the special status and was personally monitoring the situation from ground zero. By camping in Kashmir , Doval ensured that security forces exercised maximum restraint in tackling any law and order situation and that no civilian killing took place. During his stay in Kashmir unlike most of the ViPs Doval chose to move in militancy infested valley from North to South and that too by road. Aprt from having his lunch with civilians in militancy infested Shopian Doval also visited Down town in Srinagar. He encouraged the top brass of security forces to personally visit each and every area to reach out to the people. Dovals style of working has inspired many senior officials and most of them are trying to follow his footprints. From Director General to Additional Director Generals to Inspector Generals, senior officials of the security grid have been visting various area of Kashmir for better security and public outreach.
