Persecution and conversion of minorities in Pakistan | | Omkar Dattatray | 9/7/2019 10:59:55 PM |
| The very birth of Pakistan on the basis of two nation theory by the founder of Pakistan Mohammod Ali Jinnah is very unfortunate as it led to the division of the motherland Bharat. Through the founder of Pakistan Late Jinnah wished Pakistan to be a secular country but from the days of its birth the land of so called pure Pakistan has been indulging in the persecution of the minorities including Hindus, Sikhs and the Mohajirs and Bloches. That country treat its minorities worse than even second class citizens and discriminates them in all fields of life. Not only discrimination and persecution of various minorities, Pakistan forceably convertes the gullible and meek members of the minority community to Islam. Against this India is a secular democracy and it treats its minorities well and they are equal in all respects and India does not indulge into forced conversion of the minorities to Hinduism and India shines with its motto of unity in diversity, while Pakistan is the negation of the principles of secularism and that country indulges in the worest kind of discrimination, ill treatment and religious conversion and Pakistan the only no called land of pure is the antithesis of its Quaid-i-Azam Jinnah who wanted Pakistan to be a secular country. As against this India is a secular country where all religious flourish side by side and there is no state religion. But in Pakistan the religious minorities are persecuted, discriminated and are NA allowed to profen and practice their faith. As against that in India people belonging to all faiths practice, profess and propagate their faith and there is no bar on it. This is the reason that the population of religious minorities is increasing day by day. However as against thus in Pakistan people belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Christain faiths and even shaia Faiths and the muslim Mohajirs and Blochies and even Kashmiris are discriminated in all respects and the minorities are forced to convert to Islam. This forced conversion of the people belonging to minorities is a stain and black spot on the face of Pakistan. Ever since the creation of Pakistan, religious minorities are treated shabbily and they are not allowed to practice they faith as per their like. Instead the members of the religious minorities are forceably converted to Islam. The unmarried girls of Hindus, Sikhs and Christain faith are forceably married to muslims and this is the height of the religious persecution and conversion. The members of the different religions minorities are demied human rights in the Pakistan dispensation and there is worest kind of human rights violation of the minority community members. Hindu, Sikh and Christain minorities as well as MOhajirs, Bulochis and even Kashmiri muslims are treated as second class citizen. In effect they are treated like animals and they have no say in the governance of Pakistan where only the Sunni muslim and big land owner have the control. The members of these small religious denomination are not allowed to vote freely and they hardly stand as candidates in elections which are a force. Recently a young Sikh girls of the granthi of Nankana Sahib Gurudwara was forceably converted against her wishes and manied to a reluctant muslim youth. NA satisfied with this a girl from Hindu community was forceably converted to Islam. The family members of the Sikh girl who was forceably converted to Islam were threatened with dire consequences if they report this conversion to anyone. Thus religious persecution and forceable conversion of Hindu, Sikh and even custain girls in on rise in Palistan and Jinnah looking in the grave with anger. There has been strong condemnation of Pakistan government and its PM Imran Khan in India by Sikh and Hindu Community. But the Indian government should take up the matter of forceable conversion of Sikh and Hindu girls at the appropriate would forums and with the Pakistan government. In the meanwhile all that one can say is that the land of so called pure is devoid of all its purity and holiness and the persecution and conversion of religious minorities ahs become a common right to see. The UNO and other would forum should take cognisane of the persecution and faked religious conversion of the girls of minority communities. Pakistan government on its own should mount pressure on its administration so that persecution and forced conversion of the minorities is stopped. It is also a matter of great concern that people belonging to religious iminorities like Hindus, Sikhs and Christains live the life in object poverty, disease and ignorance with no civil rights and freedoms if at all there are any in Pakistan. Indian government should use its influence so that Pakistan government mends its way and thee is no forced conversion of the members of the minority communities. Let the Pakistan live upto to the secular ideals of its mentor and founders Mohammad Ali Jinnah who will be uneasy in grave on seeing the plight of Pakistan and its treatment to religious minorities. |
