Educational institutions celebrate Dussehra

Jammu, Oct 5: Dussehra-one of the most important Hindu festivals was celebrated by various educational institutions here today.
Stephens International Public School celebrated Dussehra with a lot of religious zeal and fervour in the presence of the Director Mrs. Satvinder Saini, the Principal Ram Prakash Sharma and the Head Mistress Shweta Bakshi. The celebrations commenced with the Kanyapujan performed by the dignitaries followed by Maha Arti. The students presenting various characters of the Ramayana portrayed various scenes through an impressive tableau, preaching the victory of good over evil. There was a religious aura everywhere. Everyone was feeling the presence of Lord Rama's era during the enchanting of bhajans based on the life of Shri Ram. Ram-stuti was sung in the form of group song melodiously.
The Director . Satvinder Saini extended her greetings on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra to the staff and the students of the school.
Dussehra and Mahanavmi were celebrated with enthusiasm in Humanity Public School (Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana). In the special assembly the girl students of K.G. Wing were beautifully dressed like nine swaroopas of Maa Durga known as Nau Deviyan. The function started with the Aarti of Maa Durga followed by Kanjak Poojan by the principal Gaurav Charak, vice principal Anku Charak, incharges of the school and the staff members. After that students of primary and middle wing presented the scenes of Ramayana. The principal in his address lauded the performance of all the artists
R. M Public School celebrates Dussehra festival with great zeal and enthusiasm in the school premises. The student of R.M public school performs the dandiya dance and they also depict the Rama Gatha. At last, the effigies of Ravana, Meghnath & Kumbkaran burnt by Lord Rama. Trustee Rita Mengi, Principal Ravinder Kour and Incharges give the best wishes of the Dussehra festival to the students and staff of R.M Public school. Trustee and Principal appreciates the participants for their performance and also tell the students about the celebration of Dussehra.
Delhi Public School, Udhampur celebrated Dussehra with a lot of fervor and ardor. A Spectacular Dance drama was staged by the senior students in which they presented the scenes from Ayodhya followed by his victory over Ravana.
A huge 3D Effigy of Ravana with ten heads was burnt after the Ramlila. The students raised the slogans of Jai Shri Ram and everyone around enjoyed the serene atmosphere. The primary objective of the entire show was to convince the students that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride will be the reason of his collapse
The Chief Guest for the day Pro Vice Chairman of the school, Dr. J.C. Gupta appreciated the Art and Craft department for creating such a huge 3D effigy of Ravana and Dance department for conceiving the idea of Ramlila through dance drama.
