Jitender Singh asks Public Sector Banks to face new challenges in J&K

Jammu, Oct 8: As per directions of DFS, Govt. of India, all Public Sector Banks kick-started the nationwide 'Customer Outreach Initiative' from 3rd Oct 2019 in Jammu at the complex of State Bank of India, Administrative Office.
State bank of India was the convenor of this initiative in Jammu Centre. All the major banks were present in the outreach programme with their stalls for two days from 03 Oct to 04 Oct 19.
However, State Bank of India continued its Loan sanctions in festive mode throughout Navratra upto 08.10.2019. Today, State bank of India concluded the Grahak Mela Camp under Customer outreach Initiative with sourcing of more than 500 applications of loan under this initiative at Jammu Centre. A cultural event was also organised for participants and visitors. The motive of this outreach initiative was to bring festive cheer to customers.
The visitors were apprised of different products of State Bank of India which includes Home loans, Auto loans, Agriculture loans, MSME loans, Education loans and Personal loans, Mudra, Loan in 59 minutes and Stand up India. The customers were also informed about the benefits of the digital banking such as Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Mobile wallets, YONO by SBI. Customers were made cautious of not to share any information to hoax calls or fraudsters & safety tips on online banking was provided by the bank officials to the customers.
The customers were also informed how to download and use BHIM app and other banking apps along with various others schemes of the banks.
Dr Jitender Singh, Minister of state for PMO has also visited the Customer Outreach Initiative. Deputy General Manager and J&K state Head of SBI Ajitav Parashar welcomed him. Dr. Jitender Singh praised the role of Banks in the economy and initiatives of Govt of India. Dr Singh has further asked the Public Sector Banks especially State bank of India to face new challenges in J&K state in coming days when the state will be a part of Global India at par with other states of the country. He further told that Ban will be playing very important role in making country's economy a $ 5 Trillion economy.
