Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 8: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Tuesday day said J&K's reorganization has provided a chance to the people of Jammu to end the discrimination which they have been facing during all these years. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Raipur, Satwari, Munish said, "Time has come for us to stand up for our rights and seek answers from the leaders who during the past seventy years failed to plead Jammu's cause." Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency said, "It is a known fact that centre during the past seventy years flooded J&K with funds for development but it did not take place." He said, "The funds which were meant for Jammu's development were distributed among the other regions. The leaders who represented us just acted as mute spectators and failed to raise their voice against the step-motherly treatment meted out to the Jammu region." Munish said, "Leaders will have to answer the questions before asking us to vote for them. They cannot lure people anymore by giving false assurances. They have to tell the people why they couldn't live up to their expectations and why they failed to deliver." |
