Jammu, Oct 8: Mookherjee Nagar branch, Jammu Mahanagar of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) today, took out a "Path Sanchalan", route march on the occasion of "Vijay Dashmi" at Talab Tillo.
Before taking out the procession, "Shastra Poojan" was also performed by the "Swayamsewaks" with all rituals. For the event, RSS volunteers brought licensed weapons, majority of which included traditional "Dands (Bamboo sticks)" carried by the volunteers while in full dress. The volunteers could be seen parading in their full dresses after the "Shastra Poojan" and were soon on the roads.
The Path Sanchalan started from Poonch House, moved through Talab Tillo main Road till Bohri, then moved towards Colonel Colony.
After combing through various inroads of Colonel Colony, Path Sanchalan proceeded through Kabir Colony before finally culminating at its initial point at Poonch House.
The whole programme was conducted under the supervision of "Sangh Nagar Karyavah" Pawan, who while giving details of the programmes said that RSS was established on the day of "Vijay Dashmi" marking the victory of good over evil, in 1925 by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and so the organization observes this day every year as the one of the prime festivals of Sangha. |
