PM package candidates selected as Labour Officers under distress | | | Early Tmes Report JAMMU, Oct 13: The PM package candidates selected for the post of Labour Officer have expressed their grave concern over the unending delay in issuance of their appointment orders. In a statement issued here today, the candidates recounted numerous excuses they have been hearing for the past 3 years. Candidates emphasized that, while all other departments had completed the recruitment and joining process, Labour department has failed to do the same. Candidates recounted how they made numerous visits to SSB office and then to secretariat but to no avail. Candidates said that last month, after repeated calls, they were told that the orders would be issued in a day or two. But now they are being told that the Labour Commissioner is out of town. Many candidates had resigned from their contractual jobs to join for this post, but the dilly-dallying attitude of the department has turned them penniless. The present state of affairs needs urgent cognizance of the Governor. |
