| ADGP Armed decorates mountaineer Ram Singh | | |  Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 15: ADGP Armed J&K S.J.M Gillani-IPS today decorated Ram Singh with ranks on his promotion as Inspector in J&K Police.
Both the officers congratulated the newly promoted officer and wished him best of luck. A man of International repute Inspr. Ram Singh was decorated with ranks during a pipping ceremony held at Armed Police Headquarters J&K Srinagar today.
He has created the history of scaling Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, on May 22, 2008. Ram Singh is the first person from J&K State as well as J&K Police to scale the world's highest peak Mount Everest. The officer is presently functioning as Incharge Mountain Rescue Team of J&K Police. Inspired by the achievement of Ram Singh, two more personnel of J&K police, Falail Singh and Nazir Ahmad (SgCts) have also successfully scaled the Mount Everest this year on May 21. |
