Let's go party tonight! Release of aides emboldens ousted PDP leader
10/15/2019 10:42:44 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 15: The recent release of his aides including a close family member from detention has emboldened a senior politician who was unceremoniously ousted from the Peoples Democratic Party a few months ago.
Sources said the former PDP leader who is also a businessman is scheduled to hold a mega celebration party in connection with the release of his aides and that the time was yet to decided upon as most of his friends are not away from Kashmir for the last around two months.
Two of his aides were released from detention at the Centaur Hotel in Srinagar on October 10.
Sources said the former minister looks ahead to host the party in Mumbai in the coming days. "He had promised that some of his friends in the union government would also be attending the party, apart from some other big names," said a source privy to the development.
Sources said a Kashmiri hotelier, who is part of the ousted leader's coterie, will be flying to the financial capital days ahead of the scheduled party for preparations on the ground. But the celebrations will be "secret affair" as the details won't be shared with the media.
"Our boss (ousted PDP leader) is in a really good mood since the release of his family member and others as the message from their release his crystal clear that the first ones to be released were 'his people'," said one insider close to the politician.
Sources said the said politician looks ahead to "teach a lesson" to the Peoples Democratic Party and the National Conference in particular.
It was reliably learnt that after his ouster from the PDP, the politician had looked ahead to get space in NC, but that the Abdullahs had turned down the plan at the eleventh hour.
Despite repeated attempts the said politician couldn't be contacted for comments.
