Parshuram's sixth incarnation reveals mythological soft reverence | Rangleela Natya Utsav 2019 | |
Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 15: Why the lord Parshuram is always presented in mythological discourses as the angry embodiment only while his other part is never revealed as to why an incarnation of God Vishnu is revered only as angry deity was the gist of the today's' play held at Abhinav Theatre . The play entitled " Parshuram-Chhata Avtar' was the sixth presentation of the ongoing Rangleela Natya Utsav 2019 being conducted by Lakshya-Tha Aim and powered by Nutan Prayas Manch. The storyline of Parshuram was taken from the sixth shade of the lord , seldom known to many about his mythological appearances in Ramayana and other epics. In today's' presentation , Lord Parshuram's sixth personification was brought to the fore which was knitted in small anecdotes about his early life , his reaction to the worldly attributes and how as in 'avtar' of a human like Lord Rama and Vishnu , he was a very soft spoken and emotional hearted person . What makes him go against many of the mythological viewpoints in the 'Satyug' were also highlighted that included doing to death of his mother and relatives. He is also shown to have taken cudgels against Lord Rama on a marriage ceremony of Sita and how he changes his mind on knowing that his own incarnation in Lord Rama is standing in front of him. The play written and directed by Vivek Tyagi for Parindey Theatre group, New Delhi turned out to be a mythological grandeur on the stage as all actors in different epical roles justified different anecdotes of Parshuram's varied embodiments. Ranveer Simngh as Parshuram presented a scintillating performance and was ably supported by Vickly Satwal, Ujjwal Thakur, Poonam Singh Verma, Jordan, Alisha and Priyanka . Lights music and sets added flavor to the mythological epic which was cherished by large number of audience. |
