Militants hurled grenade in Pulwama, no casualties | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 15: Militants today hurled grenade in main market Pulwama which didn't explode. According to reports, militants, in order to create panic and keep people away from markets this evening. At around 8:30 PM unidentified militants hurled grenade towards main market in Pulwama. The grenade landed near a cloth house however it did not want off. The incident created panic in the area and the people were spotted running away from the market. Immediately security forces arrived in the area and grenade was defused by the bomb disposal squad on Pulwama circuit road. The attack sparked panic among people in the town. The area has been cordoned off by security forces and a manhunt has been launched to nab the terrorists involved in the attack, the official said. This is the second consecutive attack by militants in south Kashmir in last two days. Two terrorists, including a suspected Pakistani national, shot dead the driver of a Rajasthan truck and assaulted an orchard owner in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, police said. |
