Jammu, Oct 15: The Institution Innovation Council (IIC), University Business Incubation and Innovation Centre (UBIIC) and University of Jammu Special Purpose Vehicle Foundation (UoJSPVF), University of Jammu celebrated "Innovation Day" here in the University of Jammu today. In addition to series of activities organised as a part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Innovation Day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm at the University Campus. The day also marked the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Under this Programme, the students, research scholars and faculty members were encouraged to click their pictures at the three photo booths installed at the Foundation Plaza, the lawns of Department of Environmental Sciences and near UoJSPVF Office. It is pertinent to mention that the students who get maximum likes and upload first 250 pictures on social media shall also be given prizes. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, highlighted the significance of celebrating the Innovation Day. He expressed that this day is being celebrated as a national activity under the Innovation Day Campaign of MHRD's Innovation Cell, Government of India. |
