Jammu, Nov 1: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized an industrial visit for 5th semester Mechanical Engineering students to "Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd.," Bari Brahmana. The visit of the plant started with an initial round of briefing by Liaison officer Naveen Tiwari, HR Head Vinod Kashkari and Plant Head Ashim Dutta about the use of Boilers, Chillers, HVAC in pharamaceutical industry. During the visit, the students were briefed by Naveen Tiwari about the functioning of Chiller House, Water Treatment Plant, Boiler House, HVAC. He also briefed the students about Shellmax boiler and boilers accessories like Safety Valve, Feed Check Valve etc with the use of latest technology . The Industrial visit was an amazing experience, provided the right exposure and proved to be a definite value addition in their professional knowledge. The Plant Head Ashim Dutta also interacted with the students during this visit. Er. Inderdeep Singh ( Assistant Professor) and Er. Ankush Sharma (Lecturer) of Mechanical Engineering Department accompanied the students. Er. Neeraj Pandita, HOD Mechanical, emphasized the need of such visits with an aim to go beyond academics, as industrial visit provides students a practical perspective of the work place. |
