Jammu, Nov 15: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) is endevouring for the organic vegetables production in Reasi district.
KVK Reasi scientists are guiding and encouraging the farmers for the scientific organic farming. Talwara and adjoining villages such as Kansi Patta and Kans Brahmna of Reasi district of J&K are commercially producing the organic vegetables.
The KVK scientists have provided the Neem Oil, Pheromone Traps, Pheromone Strips, Neem Cake, Organic Pesticides and Organic fungicides to the farmers of the area to produce the organic vegetables. Besides it farmers are trained on vermicomposting technology, Panchgavya preparation, cow urine preparation, Beejamrit preparation, fermented butter milk preparation etc.
