| 550th Gurunanak Dev Ji’s birthday celebrated in Mendhar | | | Early Times Report
Mendhar, Nov 24: 550th Prakash Utsav (Gurpurab) of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was celebrated with great religious fervour and enthusiasm in Border Sub Division Of Mendhar Near Loc today.
A grand function was organised at Gurdwara Baba Bandha Singh Badhur at Mendhar today. Hundreds of people from all faiths thronged the Gurdwara and offered special prayers on the occasion of Gurpurab. The programme was organised by Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee Mendhar.
The Gurdwara was highly decorated by the management committee while devotees started arriving there since early morning to offer special prayers. Meanwhile, special langars were also organised for the devotees in the Gurudwara. Ragis and Jathas recited Shabad Keertans that stressed on imbibing the higher values of life and communal harmony for which Guru Nanak Dev ji strived. Local administration officers and Army officers also present. |
