Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 24: Supplier of medical instruments has alleged that the company, which got tender to supply 102/108 ambulances, is violating the rules of tender and supplying sub-standard the material in the upcoming ambulances and supplier also registered a complaint in various concerned quarters.
However, the officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL) has denied the allegation and claiming that the matter pertains to the company is supplying and not to the Corporation.
Here need to mention that the JKMSCL flouted a tender of outsourcing and operational of 102/108 ambulances services in the year 2018 and in which more than hundred of ambulances would be acquired.
Recently, JKMSCL signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the company for outsourcing and making operational 102 and 108 ambulance services and the same was signed in the presence of Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education.
As per a complaint copy, which was submitted to erstwhile Vigilance Organisation (SVO), Health Department and others for taking up necessary action, states that its company (complainant) with other company participated jointly in a bid was L-1 but the other company allegedly violated the rules and regulations of the process and making a mockery of the whole tender processing system and they requested to keep watch on the whole process and take up for necessary action.
"The issue pertains to technical experts and they will address it, "Managing Director, JKMSCL, Shiv Kumar Gupta.
Although, a senior official of JKMSCL, seeking anonymity, told that the complaint copy was received and the facts were verified. "We have found that the matter has been between both of them and not to us because we are getting instruments of the company which was mentioned in the tender's term and condition, "he claimed, adding that four ambulances have been got after complete inspection of them and found nothing like sub-standard material as alleged in complaint.
