JKRCEA celebrates 4th foundation day

Jammu, Nov 24: Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) celebrated its 4th Foundation day in an impressive function held at the Gurjar Desh Trust.
B.R.Dogra, Chief Engineer (Retd.) was Chief Guest at the function and Dr. Rahul, President Prabudh Bharat Foundation and Mohd Irshad Choudhary, SSP Railway were guests of honour on the occasion whereas, Sham Lal Basson, Sobat Ali, Shama Choudhary (all Corporators, JMC), Jameel Ahmed Kohli and Karan Kumar (BDC chairmen) and Mumtaz Ahmed Bajjar (Chairman, Municipal Committee, Surankote) were special guests.
The speakers dealt in detail on the various issues confronting these communities particularly the reservation for SC/ST/OBC in direct recruitment & promotion, harassment of Gujjarand Bakerwal, reservation of OBCs, powers and the functioning of constitutional bodies meant to safeguard the interests of these communities under the new system.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar Bhasin, President JKRCEA stressed for strong unity among SCs, STs & OBCs to jointly struggle for their constitutional rights. He also gave an update of case of reservation in promotions and apprised the members of SC/ST/OBC communities about the short term and long term goals of JKRCEA and the work done during last four years since its inception.
To recognise the distinguished services, JKRCEA felicitated 39 Block Development Council Chairmen, Corporators, Sarpanches and social activists of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes communities for their commitment to their community cause. The Junior KAS-2019 who were also felicitated were Amit Kumar, Anil Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Ankur Kalsotra, Vishal Targotra, Sahil Angral, Sanjat Bhardwaj, Vishal Atri, Kuldeep Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Vishal Angurana, Radhika Sohan, Aashna, Vasnhika Raj, Monika Samyal, Mamta Sudharshan, Lekha Bhasin and Shifali Bhagat. Sheetal Angurana was felicitated for cracking IAS examination. The newly promoted Officers who were also felicitated were Bachan Lal Bhagat, Des Raj and Roop Lal Angurana (all Chief Engineers), Bavinder Kundal, Ved Prakash and K.K.Thapa (Superintending Engineers) and Surinder Dewagoda (Exectuive Engineer).
Besides, on the occasion, prizes were also distributed among the the children winners of Prabudh Bharat Foundation (PBF) competition-2019. Nine toppers of Prabudh Bharat Foundation competition were given cash prize of Rs. 1500/= each as first prize.
