Dr Poonam Parihar gets Dr GS Vidyarthi Memorial Award | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 24: Dr. Poonam Parihar, Assistant Professor, working in the Division of Agricultural Extension Education of SKUAST-Jammu has been honoured with Dr. GS Vidyarthi Award in National Seminar at Bikaner on the topic, "Holistic Approach for Enhancing Agricultural Growth in Changing Rural Scenario" organized by Indian Society of Extension Education (ISEE), New Delhi in collaboration with Rajasthan Agricultural University (SKRAU) from 14-16 November, 2019. His Excellency, the Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Kalraj Mishra was the chief guest on the inaugural function. The Indian Society of Extension Education is the premiere Society founded on 12th June, 1964 with the mission to advance the cause of extension education having more than 2300 life members in India & abroad. The award was conferred on Dr Poonam Parihar in recognition of excellence achieved in farm information-communication & field extension services and overall achievements and contributions in the area of Extension Education in general & entrepreneurship Development in particular. The award contains a Certificate of Excellence along with a Memento. She also presented the Research Paper on the topic, "Agripreneurship Development -A Sustainable Approach for Enhancing the Farmers' Income". She was also awarded the Best Paper Presentation Award. She also acted as Rapporteur during Technical Session of oral presentation & performed herself as the Member of the Evaluation Committees for poster presentation. Working as faculty in the Division of Agricultural Extension Education, Dr. Poonam has more than 120 publications to her credit including full length research papers, book chapters, abstracts, articles etc. She is a Fellow Member of many prestigious societies and is a recipient of ISEE Fellow Award, Young Scientist Award, Best KVK Professional Award, Rashtrya Gaurav Award, Bharat Jyoti Award & many more best paper & best poster presentation awards. The Seminar was attended by more than 400 delegates which include many distinguish scientists, teachers, trainers, farmers & policy makers from across the country. |
