| Rajouri cricketers call for cancellation of JKCA polls | | |  Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 10: Cricket players and tournament organisers from Rajouri on Tuesday called for cancellation of poll process to hold Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association elections in Rajouri district.
A deputation of them also called upon Deputy Commissioner Rajouri outside Dak Bungalow wherein a written memorandum was submitted with charter of demands.
The cricket players and tournament organisers said that JKCA have adopted an unacceptable process to hold district body elections in Rajouri which is not as per laid down principles.
They said that JK Cricket Association have issued a notification for the polls but voting rights have not been mentioned properly.
" We demand that the entire process be cancelled and Deputy Commissioner should himself supervise the process," said the members of deputation.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Nazir Sheikh assured that he will look into the matter. |
