Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: A three day International Conference on "Analysis and its Applications" began in the Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu. Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice chancellor of the university in his presidential address threw light on the deep connection between Mathematics and Biological Sciences and appreciated the efforts of the HOD and his team, in particular the organising secretary Dr. Tirth Ram for organising a three day international conference. Prof. T.S.S.R.K Rao from Ashoka University was the guest of honour on the occasion. Prof. Joyati Debnath from Winona State University Minnosta USA spoke on the topic "Signals and Systems in Communication and Complex". During the inaugural function, some eminent Mathematicians, Prof. A. P. Singh, Prof. Ponnu Swamy, Prof. S. D. Sharma also spoke and threw some light on the importance of organising such conferences. Earlier, Head of the Department and convenor of the conference Prof. Romesh Kumar presented formal welcome address. In the conference, about 80 Delegates from various parts of the country and abroad are participating and will discuss in next two days the various burning areas of analysis and its applications. Among others Prof. K. S. Charak, Dr. Shallu Sharma, various faculty members of the Department, research scholars and students of the department, were also present on the occasion. |
