Jammu, Dec 19: Police Station Arnia reunited a lady with her family who had lost contact with her several months ago.
According to sources, on September 5, 2019, a lady was found in the jurisdiction of PS Arnia who was unable to coherently explain her identity or give clue in relation to her family or place of residence. Proceedings were initiated under 55/109 CrPC and thereafter, on the orders of the Ld EMIC, the lady was initially sent to judicial custody and thereafter lodged in Nari Niketan, RS Pura. In the interim, efforts were continued to figure out her place of residence and family. After hectic efforts, her family was traced to Bihar, contact was established and finally, on December 17, 2019, she was handed over to her legal heirs (Husband and Mother) after completion of legal formalities at Nari Niketan, RS Pura. |
