Tries to disrupt peace to appease his bosses; needs to be kept under check
After feeling winter chill, Hurriyat Hawk reappears on Kashmir scene

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 19: As the winter chill is intensifying in Kashmir, Hurriyat Hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani is making desperate attempts to reappear on the scene.
According to the media reports, Geelani recently issued a statement asking people to give up their daily chores and stage protest. "It seems bosses of Geelani sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) have passed on instructions to him to do something so that the normalcy which has returned to Kashmir is disrupted," said an analyst.
He said, "Another reason for Geelani becoming active could be he is not used to staying in Kashmir during winter months. By issuing such provocative statement he wants to build pressure on administration so that he could move to Delhi to save himself from the winter chill."
Another analyst said that security agencies should take a note of Geelani becoming active suddenly. "It looks like that after facing defeat at all the fronts Pakistan is trying to activate its stooges one again in Kashmir as it's finding it hard to digest that people of Kashmir want to move on in their lives. People by rejecting the agenda of separatists and Pakistan have send a clear message that they are no more interested in their politics of hate, deceit and violence," he added.
The analyst said that Hurriyat Hawk, who all along his life has preached secessionism and sedition, needs to be kept under check so that he and the people around him don't succeed in their designs to push Kashmir into quagmire of uncertainty once again. "One fails to understand how come Geelani is being allowed to issue statements? The Kashmir-centric leaders are not being released from detention as they could pose a threat to peace by issuing statements. Everyone is aware about Geelani's credentials. He needs to be kept under strict vigil," he added.
A Kashmir Watcher said, "Administration has succeeded in keeping the situation in the Valley under check during the past four months. It cannot lower guard and allow the Pak stooges to regroup as they are the biggest threat to peace. For the past 30 years they have been striving on bloodshed and uncertainty prevailing in Kashmir. They are once again trying to instigate the people by unleashing a false propaganda."
He said, "Elements inimical to peace have to be taken care of for the security of the people, who are looking towards the state to bail them out."
