| Paloura residents protest against traffic diversion via interior roads | | |

Jammu, Dec 22: The local residents and shopkeepers from Paloura today held a protest against Traffic and Transport department for diverting entire public transport of Bantalab, Muthi, Kot Bhalwal and other routes from interior small roads of Paloura area.
Blaming the concerned departments Congress Leader Thakur Hoshiar Singh also local social activist and a resident from the same area said that people are facing lot problems because of congested traffic jams due to overburden of vehicles on the roads.
"Specially small children, senior-aged citizens and daily pedestrians are in danger because Public transport drivers hardly follow traffic rules, so it has been notified to the concerned departments through this small protest to take some immediate action to cancel the overflow of public transport vehicles from this area", he added. |
