Indian Army's counter offensive rattles Pak | Imran Khan plays victim card, forgets his Army resorted to 900 ceasefire violations since Aug 5 | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 22: Despite indulging in nearly 900 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) since August 5, when the Government of India (GoI) reorganized Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan is trying to play a victim card. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan seems to have got rattled by the befitting response of Indian Army in Sunderbani and Akhnoor Sectors which led to the killing of 2 Pakistani soldiers along the LoC. The Indian Army had launched a counter offensive after Pakistan Army's Border Action Team (BAT) had killed an Indian Army soldier in Sunderbani Sector along the LoC earlier this week. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Imran Khan is trying to cover up the misadventures of his Army by acting as a victim. He has made an attempt to link the ongoing protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act with the retaliatory action being launched by the Indian Army." He said, "Imran Khan is well aware of the fact that his Army cannot match the strength and skills of the Indian Army and once it starts avenging the losses which have been caused due to the unprovoked ceasefire violations by Pakistan, it can lead to a catastrophe in his country." Pakistan, according to Khan, is apprehending that Indian Army could tremple the LoC and it could lead to a war. "Khan knows it very well that Pakistan Army has been trying to push in terrorists into Jammu & Kashmir but has not succeeded in its attempts. Recent statement of Army Chief Bipin Rawat that situation along the LoC could escalate anytime has created ripples in the neighbouring country," said an observer. He said, "It is strange that Pakistan Army can do anything. It can send BAT teams, push terrorists into this side and do everything possible to disrupt peace in India but whenever India plans a counter offensive it starts cribbing like a small kid. Imran Khan needs to talk to his Army to save his country from the wrath it could face rather than crying war, war." Another analyst said, "Since August 5 Imran Khan has been saying that war is inevitable. If it is so then why is he scared of it? He needs to bear in mind that India has changed and it won't allow Pakistan to dictate terms. If the neighbouring country refuses to mend its ways then it should be prepared for the punishment." |
