USTA appeals govt to fulfill pending demands | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Dec 22: To review the preparations of provincial conference which is going to be held at Kathua December 25, a meeting of J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) convened here today under the chairmanship its provincial president Hari Singh. USTA strongly appealed the administration to modify recent transfer orders of masters and implement transparent and norms based transfer policy besides sought release of pending salary for the month of January and February 2018 and arrears of 7th pay commission including DA arrear in favour of masters working as head teachers, regularize incharge lecturers, headmasters, ZEOs and principals, regularization all ReTs who have completed 5 years service and EVS who are working in the Department for the last 15 years. USTA will bring resolutions on these demands in the coming conference and chalk out future course of action. Later, provincial president of USTA while addressing the media said that policies of privatization and commercialization of education are preventing the wards of weaker sections of the society to get quality education adding that even government is not considering long pending genuine demands of teaching community and their rights are being snatched one by one. |
