Early Times Report RAJOURI, Dec 22: International School Rajouri celebrated its Annual Day on today in the District Sports Office Ground, Rajouri. The program started with the hoisting of Tricolour followed by march past of the students. Stage performances began with the lighting of the Lamp and invoking the blessings of Lord Almighty. The School Choir presented a Prayer Song and Welcome Song which enthralled the audience. The soulful sufi qawwali, Pahari, Gojri, Kashmiri and Punjabi items presented by the students, created an ambiance of serenity. The band of musicians consisting of students of the school presented the instrumental theme. Colourful cultural items, skits, sports activities and various stage performances were appreciated by the proud parents of the school. The innovative cultural items which highlighted the menace of plastic and Beti Padhao Beti Bachao were applauded by the guests. The chief guest for the function Yougal Manhas, S.S.P Rajouri was excited by the performances and congratulated the staff and the students for their efforts in presenting a programme par excellence. The Chairman of the school, K.K. Langer honoured the chief guests and guests of honour and lauded the efforts of entire school in organising the gala event. The bedazzling performances and the giving away of the annual awards was graced by Col Mishra and Col Samir Mathur who were the guests of the honour. The Managing Director of the school, Ashish Langer, in his address, inspired and motivated the students while appreciating the untiring efforts of students and staff. Principal, Dev Raj, presented an overview of the happenings in the school in the present academic session. Abhishek Langer, Director urged the students to aim high and bring glory to their state as well as their nation. Welcome address was given by Mrs. Divya Langer and vote of thanks was presented by Mrs. Moksha Langer. The luminaries gracing the occasion included Mohd. Arif, President Municipal Committee, Bilal Ahmed Mir, Prof. Haqeeqat Singh, Prof. Iqbal Raina, Mushtaq Raina, Ashok Gandotra, Rakesh Gupta, Rafiq Mir, Sajad Tariq, Jia Lal Sharma and Inspector Sameer Jeelani. Master of ceremony was performed by Mrs Sugandha and girls of high classes. Colourful presentation mesmerised the august gathering of parents. The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony. |
