Two govt school teachers from J&K receive National ICT Award | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 23: Two young teachers Hilal Ahmad Lone and Ayaz Raina hailing from J&K received prestigious awards for "Best ICT Teachers" from NCERT at New Delhi. The two teachers are among the 43 selected for National Award for Teachers using ICT for innovation in Education. The award includes a medal, a commemoration, a laptop and a set of 10 DVDs. Hilal Ahmad Lone resides at Kangan area of Ganderbal and is presently posted at GHSS Kangan. He has been working as Nodal Officer for Adhaar and is incharge of J&K Knowledge Network for his district. Ayaz Raina belongs to Thanna Mandi area of Rajouri and is posted as BHSS Thanna Mandi. Both the teachers are being engaged in various ICT related interventions like NISHTHA, DIKSHA, Knowledge Networks, and Smart Classes etc. They have been striving hard in their respective areas to enhance the teaching-learning process in government schools using ICT interventions. Besides, they have provided enormous trainings to their fellow teachers upon usage of IT Tools in their routine pedagogy in classrooms. Sarita Chauhan, Commissioner Secretary, School Education later congratulated the teachers for being awarded with such prestigious commemoration. She appreciated the efforts of these teachers and stressed upon entire teaching community to adopt technological and ICT interventions for better transformation of teaching process in government schools of J&K. Anuradha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu, Younis Malik, Director School Education Kashmir and Dr Arun Manhas, State Project Director Samagra Shiksha also congratulated the awardees. |
