| Newly blacktopped road goes dilapidated, authorities silent | | |

Noshwera, Dec 31. Tall claims made by Engineering Departments seem falling flat in Rajouri district within many vital road links posing severe hardships among people due to dilapidated condition. A same case of callous approach of Public Works Department can be gauged from the position of road from Rumali Dhara to Bareri, Dabbar and Sunderbani.
Locals including Sanam Raina, Naresh Kumar, Yog Raj, Parveen Kumar, Ravi Sayal, Amit Chowdhary among other said that road was blacktopped one month ago after repeated demands by local population. Public Works Department once again failed to ensure quality work," they said and added that the blacktopped road is getting dilapidated once again.
They added that due to alleged poor quality work of blacktopping, the newly laid surface of road have once again gone in such a situation that in next few months, it will again be in a shape full of potholes.
They alleged that time and again, government authorities were appealed with demand to ensure quality work on road but for no avail.
Executive Engineer PWD Nowshera Mohd Parveez, said that he will get the road repaired.
He however ignored the question of poor monitoring and supervision during blacktopping work. |
