Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 31: Jammu Civil Society (JCS) has welcomed the announcement of abolishing Toll Post at Lakhanpur. In a meeting of the Society held under the chairmanship of Pardeep Gandotra, the members hailed abolition of Toll Post at Lakhanpur as JCS was vehemently following this issue with the Central Government. JCS expected that with the abolition of Toll Tax people of J&K UT will get respite from high prices of goods as compared to neighboring States. It may be recalled that on October 13, 2019 the JCS submitted a 20-point memorandum to Amit Shah, Union Minister for Home Affairs regarding issues concerning transition of J&K to UT. Prominent citizens who were present in the meeting included Vinod Sachdeva, Capt Murti Gupta, Wing Commander Joshi, Surinder Mahajan, Subash Gupta, Vijay Gupta, Ujjagar Singh, Prem Diwan, Ajay Talla, Sunandan Aggarwal, BL Gandotra, Naveen Sen Anand, Raman Samnotra, Jatinder Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Sahil Mahajan, Vikram Jain and Pragya Gandotra. |
