Jammu, Jan 1: Vivek Rattan, Research Scholar at the Department of Botany, University of Jammu has been awarded the Best Oral Paper Presentation Award under the Plant Sciences section in the 14th JK Science Congress, a national event on the theme Science and Technology For a Sustainable Future organized at University of Jammu from December 20th to 22nd 2019 in collaboration with J&K Science, Technology and Innovation Council.
Pursuing research under the supervision of Prof. Yash Pal Sharma, Department of Botany, University of Jammu. Vivek's paper titled 'Conservation, Domestication and cultivation of wild shaggy Ink cap mushroom, Coprinus comatus (O.F. Mull.) Pers.' was adjudged the best. The award that carries a certificate and memento, was presented to him during the valedictory function of the Congress by Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu in the presence of Prof. K S Risam, Vice-Chancellor SKUAST Jammu, Prof. Talat Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir and Prof. R P Tandon, an eminent Professor of University of Delhi. |
