BJP accuses Opposition of indulging in "selfish politics" over CAA | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 1: BJP stands for restoration of complete peace and development in Jammu Kashmir as well as Ladakh and that the party will do its best to come up to the expectations of the people of Jammu, said former DyChief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh. He was addressing a large gathering of people at a function organized by Sham Lal Sharma in connection with the celebrations of New Year at Akhnoor today. He said that the BJP do not have any hidden agenda and that whatever would be done will be as per the wishes and aspirations of the people of the Jammu. Singh also said the fundamental rights of local people will be preserved and statehood to J&K will be granted as early as conditions permit as was promised by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He further said that our country is in the safe hands of our PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and we should strengthen their hands by contributing in one way or the other. Jugal Kishore Sharma Member of Parliament BJP Lok Sabha while targeting towards Congress and other alliances Jugal Kishore said that Congress is playing dirty politics and playing with the emotions of the public. He while speaking on the benefits of Citizenship Amendment Act said that this act is justice to those people who were facing cruelties of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan since long and now a hope to live freely in India has been raised after taking this major decision. He said that Congress is manipulating people and betraying them to disturb the peace of the country. Former Minister and BJP leader Sham Sharma said, Citizenship Amendment Act has the endorsement of 130 crore citizens of the country as it was the part of the BJP manifesto in 2014 as well as 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He further said that India is a land of unity in diversity and tolerance. Recent decisions like Article 370, Ram Mandir and now CAA shows our firm commitment towards national security. |
